Cardiology Technician I‑Per Diem

The Cardiology Technician is an entry‑level professional who performs all non‑ultrasound cardiac diagnostic studies including EKG, rhythm strips, stress tests, perfusion stress tests, Holter monitoring, and pacemaker checks. This professional is also responsible for scheduling tests, answering phones, preparing and filing reports, assisting physicians with requests for information, and other general operations duties.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Perform cardiac diagnostics tests including 12‑lead EKG, rhythm strips, stress tests, perfusion stress tests, 24‑hour Holter monitoring, telephonic pacemaker checks, and complete pacemaker interrogations.
Collect EKG data from the ECG machine into the EKG database and maintain/stock supplies on EKG carts.
Report critical values to physicians and/or RN and provide timely STAT EKG as ordered.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care for patients of all ages.
Ensure proper equipment cleaning, follow infection control policy, and maintain inventory control and routine supplies in the department.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Your qualifications should include:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a medical terminology course (preferred).
Prefer one year of experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Preferable EKG experience or certification.
Additional Information:
Hourly Per Diem Rate: $40.42.
