Job Overview
Capital One is seeking a Manager, Risk Program Management to lead enterprise‑wide risk programs within the Technology & Data Risk Management (TDRM) organization. The role will coordinate large‑scale solutions, drive capacity planning, and champion agile practices across the Product, Risk Innovation Solutions, and Methodology (PRISM) team.
Responsibilities
Drive capacity planning and coordination of portfolio integration and maturation program plans.
Create and manage sequences for product releases, ensuring efficient delivery.
Develop tools and templates that improve program tracking and visibility.
Partner with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to shape technology risk strategy.
Oversee a complex portfolio of assessment, product release, and reporting activities.
Foster continuous improvement and promote agile maturity across the team.
Provide early warnings and escalation when work is off‑track and collaborate on solutions.
Desired Outcomes
Build relationships with practice leads and senior leaders to manage intake and prioritization of new work.
Design capacity & demand views for dynamic visibility of work and dependencies.
Enhance analytics for planning and delivery with agile teams.
Implement process improvement solutions that address pain points.
Maintain metrics that inform portfolio health and decision making, including championing OKRs.
Streamline reporting of team objectives and KPIs to senior leadership.
Champion well‑managed agile delivery practices, including reporting, tracking, and status mechanisms.
Establish operational continuous improvement mechanisms such as lessons learned.
Plan annual coverage analysis of the risk assessment portfolio with team leads.
Lead quarterly reviews of risk factor changes to drive prioritization decisions.
Basic Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience.
At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs or consulting engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
4+ years delivering large and complex projects or managing operations.
Experience in technology, product, or cybersecurity oversight.
Experience working in financial services or technology startups.
Experience with GRC software tools.
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification or experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean 6 Sigma certification.
Compensation & Benefits Minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries vary by location:
McLean, VA: $146,100 − $166,700
Richmond, VA: $132,800 − $151,600
This role may also earn performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package that supports health, financial, and well‑being. Eligibility varies based on status.
