Principal Project Controls – Scheduler & Primavera Subject Matter Expert

Join us to support Project Management and Construction (PMC) projects for Combined Cycle and Simple Cycle Power Plant Construction. This role provides expert scheduling, estimations, change control, and performance analysis, leading project control teams, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining rigorous standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the project schedule, incorporating implementation details, updates from vendors, and field observations.
Coordinate with Project Teams for emergent and strategic needs, maintaining a site-integrated schedule.
Generate periodic Project Controls communications and routine analytics, ensuring data collection, verification, and presentation quality.
Lead and perform change control, managing scope, schedule, and cost adjustments and participating in audit reviews.
Coordinate scheduling benchmarking and self‑assessment initiatives, driving continuous improvement.
Implement and maintain Work Breakdown Structures, cost estimates, cash flow tracking, and change control management systems.
Create and maintain project estimates, ensuring alignment with scope, materials, resources, and risk.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and project teams, resolving project controls issues within budgets and schedules.
Basic / Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance or Business Administration.
Minimum 6 years related work experience.
Alternatively, high‑school or GED and 10+ years related work experience.
Desired Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Project/Office, Business Objects, Passport, Powerplant, Emax, Peoplesoft, Schedule analysis software (e.g., Deltek Acumen).
On‑site field experience observing project progress and schedule updates.
Subject‑matter expertise in Primavera (P6) scheduling, including schedule review, implementation, baseline analysis, site integration, and vendor coordination.
Experience in supporting recovery plans, project changes, funding submittals, status reports, variance analysis, and schedule adherence reporting.
Experience tracking resources and quantities, evaluating vendor change orders, and employing Monte Carlo analysis for risk.
Strong analytical, collaborative, and leadership skills with a focus on employee development.
Working Conditions
Field mobility required; mobilization to the site when field work commences.

Valid driver’s license.
