The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, automating, and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes that support software development and deployment. This role bridges development and operations teams to improve delivery speed, reliability, scalability, and overall efficiency. The position focuses heavily on automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Automate operational tasks, system provisioning, and configuration management
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployments
Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability
Maintain container environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE)
Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
Improve system security by implementing best practices for access control, secrets management, patching, and vulnerability remediation
Troubleshoot system and infrastructure issues across development, staging, and production environments
Contribute to incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and deployment workflows
Required Qualifications and Experience
2–5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles
Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, etc.)
Solid understanding of Linux systems administration
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC/configuration management tools
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Kubernetes CKA/CKAD
Experience with microservices architectures
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud security practices
Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
Understanding of GitOps workflows (Argo CD, Flux)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered
