$150,000–$180,000 Base + Bonus
About the Role A well‑established aerospace and defense manufacturing organization is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations. This role provides hands‑on ownership across:
Full‑cycle accounting operations, including cost accounting and inventory management
Budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight
Internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance
Cross‑functional reporting, financial analysis, and business partnering
ERP optimization, process improvements, and data accuracy
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory valuation, and intercompany activity
Own P&L outcomes across business units—budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly/quarterly reporting
Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes; manage audit support and external financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Develop, implement, and strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks (including SOX requirements)
Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, financial modeling, cost controls, and KPI reporting
Administer tax filings, intercompany accounting, and cash flow management
Identify and drive systems improvement initiatives, including ERP reporting enhancements and process automation
Support cross‑functional teams and communicate financial insights to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or CMA preferred
10+ years of progressive financial management experience, including manufacturing cost accounting and P&L oversight
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
Advanced Excel proficiency; ERP experience (IFS, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
