Our team is working with a leading aerospace manufacturer with a focus on advanced avionics and cockpit control systems looking to hire a Corporate Controller to their growing team. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for timely, accurate reporting to internal stakeholders, including forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities. The position drives financial insight through cost, inventory, and operational performance analysis; supports sales through credit evaluation and revenue recognition review; and ensures strong inventory controls, valuation, and compliance. It also plays a key role in ERP enhancement, SOX 404 and internal control implementation, local tax and regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement, while leading, mentoring, and developing the finance and accounting team.

Responsibilities:
Participate with executive management in the establishment of comprehensive business and financial strategies for the organization’s various functional areas of responsibility.
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external customers, including the other departments.
Prepare the weekly forecast report as well as the annual budget, and identify the trends, risks and opportunities.
Analyze product/job cost trends and operational performance and determine potential issues and areas for improvement.
Support the Sales Team with evaluating customer credit applications and determining appropriate credit limits based on risk.
Review incoming customer orders and evaluate based on revenue recognition policy.
Manage inventory valuation, including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress, and finished goods at month-end.
Oversee cycle count program and annual physical inventory count. Perform the review of inventory obsolescence and excess inventory.
Assist with the development of the accounting reports and functionality of the company’s enterprise resource planning software, IFS.
Assist with the implementation of appropriate financial and IT controls to ensure compliance with 404 SOX requirements.
Provide financial, administrative, and operational support, particularly in the areas of cost and inventory control as well as process improvement.
Ensure local tax and regulatory filings and compliance.
Other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Expert knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Technical proficiency with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Credentials: CPA and/or CMA in good standing, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: At least 10 years of progressive financial management, including cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
Bonus: Bilingual (English/Spanish) and ERP implementation experience.
