leading manufacturing company in Richardson, TX —a division of a much larger industry leader—to
hire a Plant Controller . This role will oversee all financial operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings technical excellence, operational insight, and the ability to work autonomously while driving meaningful improvements.
Key Responsibilities Lead gross margin management, including oversight of bills of materials and cost structures Own standard costing, variance analysis (PPV, labor, overhead, scrap), inventory valuation, and product margin analytics. Drive root‑cause investigations and corrective actions. Collaborate closely with operations to maintain accurate inventory records and improve working capital performance Support key month‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Experience Minimum of 7+ years of overall accounting experience and 4+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is required. Hands‑on experience with inventory management and warehouse operations Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and operational processes Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks (preferred) Working knowledge of balance sheet accounting (preferred)
Technical Proficiency Experience with Large ERP systems like Oracle or SAP
Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, or Finance with 5 years of cost accounting experience
