We are launching a concerted effort to redefine excellence and are looking for individuals prepared to not just join, but to lead the cultural transformation of the MFM Division of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Position Summary The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks four full‑time Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, to actively participate in resident and medical student education, and to contribute to an emerging academic division within a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide patient care in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Teach, train, mentor, and precept residents and medical students.

Participate in a consultative model, attending deliveries if preferred.

Work with a multidisciplinary team that includes 6 APPs, ARDMS‑certified sonographers, diabetes educators, perinatal nutritionists, and a genetic counselor.

Collaborate with Children’s Hospital of Illinois and University of Illinois subspecialties such as Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Develop and deliver academic presentations.

Share call responsibilities.

Perform related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MD or DO.

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to teach residents and medical students.

Interest in academic leadership roles and scholarly activities.
