Job Title: Quality Manager

Summary

The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Quality department and driving advanced quality and reliability engineering initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. This role ensures compliance with IATF 16949 standards, implements effective quality processes, and leads a team to achieve continuous improvement, customer responsiveness, and adherence to company and safety policies.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all employees in the Quality department.

Establish departmental priorities and accountability, conducting timely performance reviews and objective setting.

Develop, implement, and monitor quality metrics while driving a culture of continual improvement.

Ensure accuracy and timely completion of NCRs, SPC, gauge maintenance, cost of quality tracking, internal audits, and related reporting.

Serve as a key customer liaison, addressing quality issues, leading problem resolution, and supporting 8D reporting and corrective actions.

Actively participate in APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and quote review meetings.

Ensure the division maintains IATF 16949 certification and continuously update quality procedures and manuals.

Support supplier quality management, including participation in supplier conferences.

Develop training programs for staff on measurement techniques, standardization, fit/function, and critical characteristics.

Regular and punctual attendance; periodic travel as required.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

4–10 years of manufacturing experience in the metalworking/automotive industry.

5–10 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards and documentation systems.

Experience with AIAG requirements, PPAP creation, SPC, FMEA, MSA (GR&R), and root cause analysis.

Metrology background required.

Prior experience as a Quality Engineer strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong project management, organizational, and technical writing skills.

Ability to acquire and analyze data using statistical methods to drive process improvement.

Effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in ERP systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office tools.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and Globally Harmonized Hazard Identification.

Mixed office and manufacturing setting.

Exposure to heavy machinery, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and high noise levels.

Required PPE: eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, and gloves when necessary.
