Consultant – Investment Banking
Selby Jennings is partnering with a newly established investment bank backed by a heavily backed institution. They are looking for a driven Investment Banking Associate to join their Houston team. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with strong exposure to senior leadership and significant responsibility on live transactions.
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities:
Support execution of M&A and capital raising transactions primarily in Industrials and select Consumer sectors.
Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and client presentations.
Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines.
Work closely with VPs, Directors, and MDs on lean deal teams.
Assist in origination efforts and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of investment banking experience at a reputable middle‑market or elite boutique firm.
Demonstrated closed deal experience and ability to contribute immediately.
Background in Industrials, Business Services, or Consumer sectors preferred.
Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Highly motivated, collaborative, and willing to take initiative.
