Role Summary The Central Load Planning Agent is responsible for overseeing the Load Planning and Weight and Balance process for all Horizon Air flights in accordance with FAA regulations, department processes and procedures, and company policies.

Key Duties

Support station agents and flight crews for pre‑departure load planning and load close‑out process

Provide expertise on the weight and balance system, load planning process, and aircraft loading policies and procedures

Interface with other System Operations Control (SOC) personnel to maximize payload and mitigate load planning issues

Monitor system alerts and communicate issues to SOC personnel, flight crews or station agents (e.g. need to reseat passengers, payload limitations or restrictions, need for ballast, etc.)

Monitor automated system data feeds and assist in reporting, troubleshooting, and resolving issues

Monitor irregular operations and communicate with dispatcher and station agents in a timely manner

Provide oversight and manual manipulation of flights that are not automatically processed by the weight and balance system

Monitor the fuel ordering process. Ensure fuel slips are generated by the system, communicate revisions to stations, and provide manual manipulation when necessary

Report irregularities or safety issues

Other duties as assigned

Job‑Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Strong commitment to deliver outstanding customer service to our crew members and other internal customers

1 year of station, operations, and/or aircraft loading experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to identify and resolve critical issues

Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks

Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with other workgroups

Ability to communicate in English

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum age of 18

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

Associates Degree in Aviation or Business

Knowledge of aircraft loading principles and weight and balance concepts

Experience with Smart4Aviation, Sabre/IMAGE, Visops or Gatesheet, FOGS, and Office 365

Job‑Specific Leadership Expectations Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be caring and kind, and deliver performance.

Starting Rate USD $22.16/Hr.
