FLSA Status: Exempt – Not Eligible for Overtime Compensation
First Review Date: March 11, 2025
Position Overview: The Part‑Time Non‑Credit Instructor teaches development courses.
What you will be doing
Prepares and distributes course outline/syllabi to students
Teaches lecture and laboratory sections related to culinary subject matter
Maintains accurate attendance records
Develops teaching and learning strategies that optimize student performance
Develops recipes, menus and curriculum
Complies with department and College policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and professional experience in academic and/or professional expertise in the corresponding field
State Certification where applicable
Prior experience teaching adult learners
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work during class times
Ability to work in a multi‑ethnic/multi‑cultural environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and some weekend assignments
Preferences
Food & Beverage experience
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
