Job Summary The Department of Chemistry at Trinity University invites applications for a tenure‑track assistant professor in Chemistry (or Biochemistry) beginning August 2026.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent.
Strong teaching record or potential; ability to develop undergraduate‑centered curriculum.
Research program involving undergraduate students in any field of experimental chemistry or biochemistry/chemical biology.
Duties and Responsibilities Teaching: 5 lecture and/or laboratory courses per year, including general chemistry and courses related to each subdiscipline.
Research: Develop a sustainable undergraduate research program and pursue interdisciplinary collaborations.
Service: Advise departmental majors and participate in institutional service activities.
Appointment Details 9‑month appointment (9 or 12 month disbursement) starting August 2026 with a standard pre‑tenure probationary period.
Attendance Minimum on‑site attendance (classroom and office hours) is required.
