Job Description The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co‑op) education that lasts up to 6 months and includes one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Functions Division offer development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long‑term goals.

Overview Strategic Supplier Management is a rigorous, data‑driven methodology that relies upon high‑quality market intelligence for suppliers, supply markets and supply chains, as well as strategic analysis and reporting of internal business requirements, supplier performance, spend and savings data. The role may support projects or programmes with responsibilities such as market intelligence, strategic analysis, pre‑negotiation planning, RFIs, RFPs, e‑auctions, quotation analysis and cost modelling, financial solvency analysis, risk assessments, FCPA verification, supplier performance monitoring, budget planning and digitisation/data analytics.

Direct Materials Sourcing & Procurement Responsibility

Support strategic and operating objectives for procurement functions including product sourcing, supply risk management, supplier performance improvement, cost reduction, supplier diversity development, working capital improvement and supplier relationship management.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Legal, Finance, Procure‑to‑Pay, internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Conduct detailed market analyses providing deep insights.

Implement procurement strategies and execute tactical processes; act as a resource on procedures and systems.

Support supplier selection, ensure savings, service levels, fulfilment of contract requirements and maintain relationships.

Enforce compliance with Global Procurement policies using a data‑driven business case approach.

Additional Responsibilities

Supplier and Supply Market Analysis – rigorous intelligence and detailed analyses.

Cost Modelling & Reduction – detailed cost models, purchase price analysis; supplier visits for cost‑structure understanding.

Strategic Analysis – transform information into breakthrough options.

Financial Analysis & Reporting – category spend, savings, compliance metrics; support annual budget planning.

Negotiation Planning – pre‑negotiation plans, participation in negotiations, post‑negotiation debriefs.

Sourcing – RFIs, RFPs, e‑auctions and structured information analysis.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation – financial solvency, compliance, FCPA, Business Partner Code and risk‑mitigation plans.

Category Team Membership – active member in category teams applying above skills.

Sharing of Learnings – generate and share high‑quality work with colleagues.

Education Minimum Requirement

Currently a sophomore or junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Management), Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Market Research, Communications, Engineering, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or enrolled in an MBA programme.

Required Experience and Skills

Superior interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully on cross‑functional teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication; clear concise presentations; sensitivity to cultural differences; experience with SharePoint and Yammer.

Strong data collection, analysis and reporting skills.

Excellent project management skills.

Ability to work independently with flexibility and adaptability.

Quick learner, motivated to develop technical, business and commercial skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Demonstrated excellent academic achievement.

Preferred Experience and Skills

Prior pharmaceutical industry or Fortune 500 experience.

Completed two or more internships or co‑ops.

Experience with MS Teams, SharePoint or similar collaboration sites.

Experience with TIBCO Spotfire or other data analytics/visualisation tools.

Experience managing large Excel data sets.

Ability to communicate information into stakeholder presentations.

Knowledge of data collection methods: polls, focus groups, surveys.

GPA 3.0 or higher.

Salary Range $39,600.00 – $105,500.00 USD
