Job Summary
The YMCA of the Golden Crescent is an equal‑opportunity employer and is seeking a dynamic, mission‑driven Chief Executive Officer. The role will lead a community‑focused YMCA that serves roughly 10,000 members annually and tens of thousands of program visits each year.
With branches in Victoria and Port Lavaca and program centers in Bay City, Gonzales, Palacios, and Edna, the YMCA serves communities across a multi‑county area from the Texas coast to the southwest of Houston, north of Corpus Christi to San Antonio.

Early Learning and Childcare
– Licensed childcare centers serve infants as young as 6 weeks; recent renovations have expanded capacity and improved facilities.
Youth Development and Afterschool Work
– Expanded afterschool programs in Bay City and Gonzales; sports, day camps, leadership programs and seasonal initiatives.
Aquatics and Water Safety
– Municipal pools provide swim lessons and water safety programming in Edna, Palacios, Port Lavaca and beyond.
Health & Wellness
– Fitness classes, health coaching, senior programs; the Victoria branch alone sees over 40,000 annual program check‑ins.
A Leadership Role with Impact The CEO will shape a long‑term vision, expand early learning and afterschool capacity, strengthen partnerships, elevate fundraising, lead branch executives and program directors, continue facility improvements, and strengthen operational systems for long‑term sustainability.

Qualifications
Accredited 4‑year college degree or advanced degree.
Proven fiscal management with budgetary success.
Minimum seven years senior management experience in a YMCA or comparable organization, overseeing multiple staff levels.
Experienced in developing and strengthening community relationships.
Ability to develop innovative programs and assess their effectiveness.
Strategic planning and fundraising experience, including annual campaigns and grants.
YMCA Organizational Leader Certification or ability to achieve it within 3 years.
Essential Functions & Key Skills
Develop and implement a strategic plan with measurable goals.
Improve operating performance through tactical planning and ongoing issue resolution.
Financial management: forecast trends, grow earned revenue, control costs, and lead stewardship strategies.
Position the Y as a community partner; build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Build and lead staff: talent development, recruitment, retention, and accountability.
Steward fundraising efforts and develop a comprehensive annual fundraising plan.
Salary & Benefits Salary Range:
$140,000–$160,000 (commensurate with experience).
Benefits:
YMCA Retirement (7% paid by Y, 5% by employee) once eligible.
YMCA 403B savings account – 100% employee contribution.
Health plan – 100% paid by Y.
Paid Time Off – based on policy.
Other benefits per policy.
Residency Expectation Candidate must reside in Victoria County, Texas.
