Recertification Specialist – Pine Street Inn
Location:
82 Green Street, Jamaica Plain, MA
Schedule:
40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Pay:
$28.00 – $34.00 per hour DOE
Summary of Position The Recertification Specialist is responsible for supporting the compliance responsibilities for Pine Street Inn’s Housing Department, completing annual, interim, and transfer certifications for various housing programs including the HOME program, the Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit Program, the HUD Section 202 and 811 subsidy programs. The incumbent also processes lease renewals for non‑subsidized units as assigned by the Property Management Administrator.
Requirements Education / Training
High school diploma or GED (Required)
Valid MA Driver’s License in good standing (Required)
Certified Occupancy Specialist Certificate and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credit designation (Preferred)
Experience with the HUD 4350.3 Multi‑Family Housing Handbook (Preferred)
Knowledge / Experience
Minimum of one (1) year hands‑on experience performing tenant certifications (Required)
Previous experience in tenant management of affordable housing and office administrative responsibilities (Required)
Working knowledge of state and federal subsidy programs (Required)
Experience using affordable housing property management software comparable to OneSite / RealPage (Required)
Experience with HUDTRACS and EIV programs (Required)
Two years hands‑on tenant certification experience (Preferred)
Two years working knowledge and recertification experience with HUD project‑based subsidies including the Section 202 and 811 subsidy programs, and Project‑Based Section 8, Project‑Based Moderate Rehabilitation Program, and the Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (Preferred)
