$107,137.00 $123,208.00 . The Administration for Childrens Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well?being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community?based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community. The Division of Youth and Family Justice (DYFJ) provides a wide range of services and programs for youth at every stage of the juvenile justice process. Our goals are to (a) build stronger and safer communities and advance public safety by preventing juveniles from entering the New York Citys juvenile justice system, (b) provide therapeutic treatment and services to youth in our custodial care, and (c) help juveniles access the tools they need to leave the justice system for good. DYFJ directly operates two secure detention facilities for juvenile delinquents and offenders whose cases are pending in Family Court or the Youth Parts in Supreme Court: Crossroads Juvenile Center in Brooklyn and Horizon Juvenile Center in the Bronx. Youth receive comprehensive services including medical, dental, mental health care, and education. Responsibilities Plan, design, install, configure, secure, maintain, and support all Genetec servers and storage infrastructure. Architect and design the enterprise federated Genetec security system for multiple sites. Implement and manage Genetec occupancy management system for capacity tracking and monitoring. Analyze and monitor server resources utilization to ensure optimum server/storage performance by alleviating bottlenecks. Set up the highest level of redundancy using SQL mirroring, fail?over directory features, archive transfers, and automated database backups. Arrange Genetec recording schedules with various resolutions to maintain video data quality without sacrificing valuable resources. Manage Genetec user accounts, privileges, permissions, and roles with redundancy. Assemble and configure automated monitoring stations. Maintain activity and audit log repository to generate usage and audit reports. Work with maps and mobile features in Genetec and construct watermark and encryption add?ons. Develop, validate, and implement an overall strategy for system upgrades and patching Genetec servers, including security updates on a regular schedule. Create, test, implement, and maintain a standard image for Genetec client installation for desktops. Ensure that all changes to the environment adhere to established Change Management policies and procedures. Work closely with various teams such as the infrastructure team, technical support, database administrators, system administrators, facilities, and program areas to resolve Genetec system issues. Evaluate new security systems requirements for Genetec solutions. Produce and maintain Genetec server and storage architecture diagrams using MS Visio. Lead and develop comprehensive project plans for Genetec security projects. Evaluate and recommend Genetec technology solutions to support business needs. Put up and monitor system alerts using the built?in Genetec features to provide 24/7 support and high availability. Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot technical issues. Follow the communication protocol for system failures/outages and file incident reports. Respond to Service Desk tickets related to the Genetec environment. Prepare system configurations and management support documentation. Maintain inventory of Genetec infrastructure, hardware, and software assets.

Special Note

Available for on?call duty as needed. Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. May be required to work mandatory overtime.

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full?time (not classroom?based) experience in local area network planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management; or A four?year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full?time (not classroom?based) information technology experience, of which at least two years must have been as described above; or A masters degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college may substitute for one year of experience. However, all candidates must have at least one year of satisfactory (not classroom?based) full?time information technology experience as described above.

Preferred Skills

Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center. Working experience with Genetec Security CenterOmnicast and Synergis version?5.9 and above, Microsoft Windows Server?2019, MS SQL?2019, VMWare?ESX, Windows?10, Visio, SharePoint, MS Project, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN, Powershell scripting. Experience with Genetec Streamvault appliances and federation architecture, Genetec Access Control Rules, watermark and encryption add?ons, Genetec database backups, client installs and upgrade rollouts, maps and mobile features in Genetec. Experience with Genetec Clearance digital evidence management system. Understanding of Genetec high?availability features like role fail?over (archiver and directory). In?depth knowledge of Genetec recording schedules with various resolutions to maintain video data quality without sacrificing valuable resources. Background in configuration of scheduled tasks in Genetec to auto?generate reporting emails on daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Working knowledge of remote desktop access software, preferably Bomgar, to troubleshoot issues remotely. Proficient in managing both domain?based and standalone system environments, ensuring optimal configuration, security, and performance. Hands?on experience building and deploying Windows servers on Dell and HPE hardware, including configuring iDRAC and iLO interfaces, setting up RAID arrays, and performing firmware and BIOS updates. Adept at diagnosing and resolving complex software and hardware issues on Windows?based systems. Experience with installing patches for Genetec, Windows and cameras. Strong experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IP camera systems, with a preference for Axis cameras, ensuring reliable surveillance performance. Proficient in using Axis Device Manager for streamlined camera configuration, firmware updates, and system monitoring. Able to multitask and perform in a high?paced/high?pressure environment. Strong interpersonal and problem?solving skills. A team player with a service?oriented attitude and customer focus. Capable of working independently or collaboratively to solve complex problems. Effective communicator, able to convey technical information to all organizational levels.
