Product Owner – AWS Upgrade & Migration Experience Role: Product Owner

Actively works with the business owner(s) to prioritize the product backlog and leads detailed planning and execution on the product roadmap.

Overview The AWS migration for Real‑Time Transactions (RTT) and Notifications is a high‑impact initiative critical to modernizing our technology stack. This program spans multiple workstreams, including cloud architecture, API modernization, ETL redesign, and observability.

Current Challenges Migration efforts are currently constrained by team capacity and amber status on key tasks. Without a dedicated Product Owner, prioritization, dependency management, and roadmap alignment remain at risk, potentially leading to delays and technical debt.

Role Responsibilities

Own the migration roadmap and ensure backlog prioritization aligns with business objectives.

Coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage dependencies, and proactively mitigate risks.

Drive timely delivery of AWS migration milestones and notification enhancements to improve system reliability and client experience.

Participate in all related meetings, including daily SCRUM calls, and provide direction and feedback based on input from business owners.

Translate business vision and high‑level User Narratives into detailed User Stories for UX and Dev teams.

Work with business owners to clarify requirements and define documentation of product acceptance criteria.

Raise requirement issues and risks to the product manager for resolution.

Communicate decisions to Business Leaders outside of review meetings and provide guidance and feedback to the team.

Document Use Cases and Process Flows as needed to frame solutions for UX and Dev teams.

Coordinate with other stakeholders as needed and represent stakeholders’ vision & requirements to the technology team.

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
