Job Description This position involves stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing associated paperwork; cleaning equipment and facility approximately daily; operating all equipment; and preparing products.

Responsibilities

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler

Receive and process telephone orders

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily

Operate all equipment

Prepare product

Ensure accurate product quantities and monetary change

Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen

Maintain appropriate temperature conditions

Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person

Handle motor coordination tasks between eyes and hands to perform precise movements quickly

Follow safety procedures when using hot surfaces, sharp edges, or moving mechanical parts

Qualifications

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and accurate monetary change)

Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills

Motor coordination and hand‑eye coordination for rapid, precise movements

Ability to work independently and with others under stress while meeting strict quality control standards

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, carry heavy items, stand, walk, push, climb stairs, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach at various heights

Valid driver's license and clean driving record if delivery duties are required; access to an insured vehicle may also be required

Work Conditions Work conditions include varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash or performing outside tasks; temperature extremes in walk‑in cooler (36°F) and hot work areas (90°F or higher); exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and fumes; cramped quarters and hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Physical demands involve frequent standing, walking short distances, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, kneeling, and reaching both up to 72” and down. Eye‑hand coordination is essential for handling pizza dough, using pizza peel, cutter, and manipulating containers. Use of computers, telephones, calculators, and other devices is required.

Additional Information Team members must be able to navigate delivery areas, read maps, and drive safely while carrying products. Vehicle maintenance, such as tire inspection and running condition upkeep, is also part of the role if delivery duties are included.
