Job Description:

Client: Healthcare

Position: Data Scientist

Location: Pasadena, CA – candidates must be local – primarily remote – occasional meetings onsite

Duration: Contract to 12/2025; extensions likely

Pay Rate: $55/Hr. on W2 (some flex in rate for strong candidates)

Responsibilities:

• Building web-based solutions
• Upgrading healthcare technology
• Fast moving migrations
• Working with more than one product under the pharmacy umbrella
• 50% Front End – 50% Back End development

Required Skills:

• Master's degree
• 8 – 10 years of experience in Data Science and/or as a Data Scientist
• Healthcare experience (i.e. EPIC, Behavioral Health, Electronic Health Records, Medical Claims, Medical Coding-CPT, HCPCS, ICD, PCS, etc., CMS, other state healthcare data repositories-DMHC, DHCAI, HCUP/AHRQ, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python and R
• SQL experience
• Experience creating and using advanced Machine Learning algorithms and statistics; regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, neural networks, etc.
• Statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining
