Full Pay Range: $62,000 - $103,750 annually

The Maricopa County Elections Department is seeking a professional with strong customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
In this role, you will primarily oversee constituent services and provide vital election information to the public, managing a Constituent Services Coordinator and collaborating closely with the Elections Department team to keep our community informed and empowered.
You'll also work in partnership with the Deputy Elections Director to manage public records and ensure responsive, transparent communication. We value individuals who act with integrity, embrace accountability, and continuously seek improvement-all while enjoying a collaborative team atmosphere.

We Require One year of experience in communications
One year of experience in an election administration environment
One year of supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, public administration, or a related field
Job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification Must successfully complete a background screening
Must be eligible to vote in Arizona
Mandatory overtime during all election cycles
We Also Value Two years of supervisory experience
Competency in English and Spanish languages
Job Contributions Supervises a team in the development of constituent correspondence and response, including, but not limited to, emails, phone calls, public records requests, and in-person voter information
Provides direction to staff in the review and interpretation of statutes, policies, procedures, and manuals related to public records law
Manages and gives guidance to staff who maintain and update information for the public while ensuring data is relevant, reachable, informative, and current
Works collaboratively with representatives of other agencies, both public and private, concerning agency programs and activities
Assists the communications leadership team in the development and execution of plans to promote the agency's message and inform the public about election-related topics
Research, write, and coordinate the design of marketing materials (mailers, flyers, newsletters, etc.) for internal and external distribution
Assists in the development of content for departmental social media sites and department websites, including internal communications
Assists in preparing staff as subject matter experts on election-related topics
Performs and coordinates redaction of confidential, exempt, and sensitive information
Working Conditions Exerting up to 20 lbs., occasionally, 10 lbs. of pushing, pulling, or lifting
Requires sitting, walking, or standing to a significant degree
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Frequent engagement with the public in person, by phone, or electronically
Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
Repetitive use of hands for typing, filing, and handling documents
Must not engage in any political discussion
Hybrid schedule options are available after a brief training period, based on business needs
