Hardware Test and Failure Analysis Engineer Title: Hardware Test and Failure Analysis Engineer Type: Contract, up to 12 months (and potentially longer) Location: San Jose, CA Description HW Debug and Test Engineer Bring up boards and systems (power, control path, data path) and test using diagnostic software. Troubleshoot failing boards and arrive at root cause. Work with HW Engineer to come up with proper corrective action. Prepare root cause analysis documentation. Follow established bug filing and FA process. Skills required Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred but not a must. 5+ years’ experience in PCB level and electronic hardware trouble shooting. Knowledge of hardware products such as routers, switches, servers, storage, desktop CPU, laptop, power or test equipment. Experience with lab bring up and debug. Experience with board tools such as Allegro, Altium etc. Good communications skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
