Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Location: Peekskill, NY
Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff; ensure accurate and timely completion of daily accounting functions
- Review financials, variance analyses, and cash flow reporting
- Oversee accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
- Collaborate with operations, finance leadership, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Improve and maintain processes within the company’s ERP system
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based reports and analyses to support decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role
- Industry experience in corporate accounting, manufacturing, or professional services preferred
- ERP system experience required (Yardi reference removed—you can use your system of choice)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
