Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Location: Peekskill, NY

Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff; ensure accurate and timely completion of daily accounting functions
  • Review financials, variance analyses, and cash flow reporting
  • Oversee accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
  • Collaborate with operations, finance leadership, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives
  • Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
  • Improve and maintain processes within the company’s ERP system
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based reports and analyses to support decision-making

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role
  • Industry experience in corporate accounting, manufacturing, or professional services preferred
  • ERP system experience required (Yardi reference removed—you can use your system of choice)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
