It is a vital role for the agency, as it involves both the effective servicing of existing policies and households as well as recognition of cross selling opportunities.
Insurance Customer Service Representative Requirements
- Property and casualty license strongly preferred
- Minimum one-year insurance or financial services customer service/ sales experience preferred
- A genuine care and concern for people and their insurance needs
- The ability to multi-task while utilizing a tech-savvy approach to sales and service
- The ability to work within a team concept in a fun, fast-paced office environment
- Must be able to persevere through difficult client interactions
Insurance Customer Service Representative Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Customer service duties via phone and email
- Renewals/Requoting/Processing new business quotes
- Servicing of existing customers/households including billing
- Engaging in proactive policy retention strategies
- Quoting and preparation of insurance proposals
- Remarketing and cross selling of current clients
- Assisting the agent with various research and follow-up tasks
