Job Summary
The Supervisor, PACE Transportation works under the general supervision of the Manager, PACE Operations and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the transportation services for participants.
Driver for PACE(Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference
Responsible for driving a specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to varied destinations. Assures that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and that participants are delivered to appointments in a timely manner.
Ensures that passengers get on and off the van safely. Interacts with participants in a courteous manner. Operates medical equipment as needed. Responds to emergencies that may arise in accordance with established protocols.
Responsible for maintaining established schedules, adjusts schedules to meet unanticipated changes, determines the safest and most efficient pick-up and delivery routes.
Ensures vans maintain a clean, orderly and safe condition. Reports maintenance issues as needed.
Responsible for completing documentation as required.
Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Attends staff meetings and takes part in participant care planning. Communicates any changes in participant condition to team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
Experience - No experience required. One (1) year of experience with a frail or elderly population preferred.
In Lieu Of N/A Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses A valid driver's license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Acceptable five year motor vehicle record Work Shift Day (United States of America)
