Student Enrollment: Manages the school’s annual enrollment effort, including strategic planning, canvassing (including nights and weekends), waitlist management, registrations, and re-registration of current students each spring/summer. Attendance: Works to achieve 96% average daily attendance by collaborating with school leadership to create daily attendance calls and data entry plans, analyzing data, and implementing incentives for students, families, and staff to meet attendance goals. Leadership: Serves on the K-8 school leadership team, helping the school achieve ambitious academic outcomes. Leads a team to execute KIPP Chicago’s top priorities and hosts weekly alignment meetings with the K-8 team. Finance & Purchasing: Assists Directors of Operations, principals, and the regional operations team in overseeing school finances, including creating the discretionary budget, managing purchasing, monitoring spending, and ensuring adherence to fiscal procedures. Facilities: Oversees the school’s physical plant, ensuring it is in good repair and supervising engineers and custodians. Compliance: Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, teacher licensure and fingerprinting, city and state education mandates, and all federal and state workplace regulations for the K-8 campus. Technology: Oversees purchasing and maintenance of student and teacher computing devices and other hardware & software for the K-8 campus. Student Information and Reporting: Manages the student information system, generates progress reports and report cards, and coordinates with the KIPP Chicago School Support Team on data analysis and reporting. Logistics: Plans and coordinates logistics for parent meetings, special events, and field lessons for the K-8 campus. Human Resources: Coordinates with the KIPP Chicago School Support Team to ensure school-based employees receive timely and accurate payroll and benefits. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or college 4 or more years of work experience 2 or more years of management experience in a school or fast-paced entrepreneurial environment Strong project management skills Ability to juggle multiple priorities and prioritize tasks Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders Evidence of strong interpersonal skills Evidence of personal initiative and follow-through Meticulous attention to detail Ability to work under pressure to hit deadlines High level of comfort with financial oversight and budgetary tracking Strong technology skills: proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and able to quickly learn new programs/systems Availability for occasional evening or weekend work Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the KIPP mission A cleared CPS Background Check before first day of employment Compensation and Benefits
