About The Firm Join a growing 2‑attorney plaintiff‑side personal injury law firm in Century City that is rapidly expanding and deeply committed to high‑stakes litigation.
The firm handles a robust caseload of 150–200 new personal injury matters per month, with 150 active cases involving more than $400K in medicals and backed by commercial insurance. Attorneys review files, select the strongest matters, and aggressively pursue them through litigation.
The firm is well‑capitalized; the current upcoming trial already has $300K invested in expert and trial costs, and leadership is committed to proper case funding. With a legal team of 2 attorneys and 8 paralegal/litigation assistants, attorneys receive at least 1 dedicated paralegal plus additional legal support.
This is an opportunity for a lawyer with 5+ years of experience specifically in PI litigation, or a senior trial attorney who thrives in the courtroom, wants to take ownership of a strong pipeline of catastrophic injury cases, and enjoys working with a close‑knit, results‑driven team. You’ll work directly with firm leadership on 7‑ and 8‑figure matters, supported by dedicated paralegal assistance and experienced co‑counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of personal injury litigation from filing through verdict, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial.
Prepare and execute detailed trial strategies with firm leadership.
Manage 25–30 active litigation cases at a time, focusing on high‑value, complex matters (goal: 10+ settlements annually).
Oversee pre‑trial preparation, including expert engagement, evidence organization, and trial exhibits.
For a Trial Attorney, serve as first chair (goal: 3–5 trials per year).
Mentor and collaborate with litigation support staff and paralegals assigned to your caseload.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to ensure top‑tier case outcomes.
Drive settlement negotiations and handle mediation and post‑resolution processes.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation; for the Trial Attorney, extensive courtroom and trial experience.
Proven record of success in jury trials and high‑value settlements.
Strong strategic, organizational, and client communication skills.
California Bar admission in good standing.
Ability to lead, collaborate, and thrive in a fast‑paced, fully onsite environment.
