Laboratory Support Technician, Microbiology, Full Time, 40 hours, Nights, SEIU
Boston Medical Center (BMC) is looking for a dedicated Laboratory Support Technician to join our Microbiology department during night shifts.
Position Summary Responsible for providing quality, customer‑oriented laboratory services including specimen collection, specimen processing, and related specialized procedures. Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other duties, and assist in training and guiding less experienced laboratory support technicians.
Job Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP) preferred.
Experience:
One year of phlebotomy, EKG, and/or specimen processing experience preferred.
Microbiology planting, plating, and accessioning.
Compensation Range $20.12 – $26.02 per hour. This range reflects the minimum qualifications; total compensation includes benefits, contract increases, flexible spending accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family well‑being.
