Job Title Supervisor, Maintenance
Reports To Sr. Director, Operations
Location Austin, Texas
Business Unit Description Driven by Enovis’ desire to create innovative products that help improve quality of life and restore movement to those suffering from degenerative arthritis, Enovis Surgical provides orthopedic surgeons with modern, patient‑focused solutions for total joint arthroplasty. Partnerships with key surgeon consultants help provide advanced and proprietary patented solutions, including EMPOWR 3D Knee, the only dual‑pivot knee system on the market, and AltiVate Reverse Shoulder, a market‑leading system, based on the design principles of the RSP Shoulder, which has demonstrated excellent clinical outcomes at 10 years. Enovis Surgical offers surgeons and their patients a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, in addition to the tools and digital health technology needed in today’s changing healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance requirements of CNC machinery
Installation, service, and repairs of CNC machines and industrial equipment
Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot a wide variety of equipment and systems such including but not limited to hydraulics, PLCs, electrical, pneumatic, and other mechanical systems
Ability to interpret machine tool manuals, technical documents, and additional resources to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues
Complete planned and minor to major preventive maintenance activities
Conduct investigation and root cause analysis on machine crashes and unexpected events
Ability to work with vendors and suppliers to obtain spare parts and request technical assistance
Enter purchase order requisitions and capital expenditure requests as needed
Ability to lead and motivate maintenance technicians to meet desired goals
Ability to work well with cross‑functional team members. Manages others to ensure appropriate SOPs, Standard Work and enforces applicable personnel policies and procedures
Actively participates in performance management and optimizes labor needs with business and customer requirements
Must have excellent conflict resolution skills and be able to handle confrontation diplomatically; must be able to work in a dynamic environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings
Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Develop spare parts strategies for consumables and critical business machines and processes
Support on boarding and commissioning of new machinery and technologies, including automation
Rigorous adherence to SOPs and cGMP regulations with the ability to accurately complete documentation associated with the manufacturing process in a timely fashion is required
Draft new and revise existing manufacturing SOPs/work instructions to support process improvements and maintain cGMP compliance.
Raise processing and equipment issues in timely manner to manufacturing management and actively participate in troubleshooting

Minimum Basic Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school degree preferred
3-5 years of maintenance and training experience on CNC machines
Desired Characteristics
Preventive and predictive maintenance experience
Previous experience in a regulated environment, Aerospace, Medical Technology, Pharmaceutical
Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens controls and PLCs
General knowledge of Fanuc robots, including robot recovery and troubleshooting
Understand and replacing servo motors and encoders
Ability to diagnose spindle issues, including spindle rebuild
Box way and Linear guide installation or repair
Diagnosis and troubleshooting using ladder logic
Hydraulics and fluid systems
Experience using, trouble shooting and training on electrical components including, Multimeter, relays, contactors, and overloads
