The Department: Compliance Compliance at Gemini manages next‑generation financial and regulatory compliance in a complex and evolving environment. The team includes technology, legal, and operational professionals developing new approaches using cutting‑edge tools.
The Role: Associate, Compliance (Credit Card) The Associate supports the compliance program for Gemini’s Credit Card product, a consumer card offering up to 4 % back in chosen cryptocurrency. The role reports to the Compliance Manager for the product. It requires on‑site presence twice a week in either the San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY office.
Responsibilities
Manage issue‑management program: mitigation, remediation, root‑cause analysis, tracking, reporting, and resolution.
Develop and monitor KRIs and KPIs to measure program health.
Assist in risk assessment: mapping, documenting, and rating controls and risks.
Analyze data to evaluate potential issues and provide actionable compliance recommendations.
Support complaint management and audit, partner‑bank, and regulatory requests.
Identify compliance gaps, implement corrective actions, and review escalations.
Maintain policies, procedures, and day‑to‑day operations for the credit card line.
Collaborate with legal, risk, and operations teams for integrated regulatory compliance.
Lead reporting to oversight and governance committees.
Support senior compliance team members as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred CRCM or similar certification).
2–4 years of compliance experience in credit, banking, fintech, or related financial regulatory compliance with a focus on credit‑card regulatory compliance.
Strong understanding of UDAAP, ECOA, MLA/SCRA, FCRA, GLBA, and other consumer lending regulations.
Ability to identify potential compliance issues and remediate them effectively.
Track record of supporting key compliance initiatives.
