Be our next Director Business Development The Director Business Development is accountable for driving strategic pursuits and business development activities across priority public sector and infrastructure markets. The successful candidate will proactively identify and position EXP for emerging client opportunities, while strengthening existing partnerships. Working closely with technical SMEs, project managers, and leadership, this individual will guide capture planning, teaming strategies, and market engagement to increase EXP’s competitive positioning and win probability. Partner with proposal and marketing teams to turn capture insights into compelling, client‑centered proposals. Work side‑by‑side with technical and delivery teams, ensuring a smooth handoff from opportunity to execution. Share knowledge and lessons learned so we keep getting better together. Stay ahead of industry trends, procurement shifts, and competitor moves. Balance ambition with risk awareness to guide EXP toward the right opportunities. Contribute ideas and insights that shape our broader business strategy. What Your Experience Looks Like

Industry Expertise & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Public Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 5+ years of experience in business development, client account management, or capture management within AEC, infrastructure, environmental, or public sector consulting. Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and positioning for large contracts. Strong knowledge of procurement processes and buying influences in the public sector. Familiarity with capture planning frameworks, pipeline management tools, and competitive analysis. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel regionally to client sites, events, and conferences. Consultative, relationship‑driven communicator with strong influencing skills. Existing networks within relevant agencies or public entities. Collaborative mindset with ability to bridge technical and business perspectives. Seniority Level
