Position Summary Reporting organisationally to the Senior Telecom Manager, the Network Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Technology team, working closely with the Technology teams based in Canada, Mexico, Zurich and other key individuals responsible for delivering and managing all the networks planning, delivery, and operations for the FWC26 offices, the FIFA World Cup 2026 and related Tournaments/Events.
Responsibilities
Review Network Infrastructure design and ensure all aspects of the Network deliverables are implemented at venues and offices according to FIFA requirements and are integrated into the overarching operational model:
Broadcast Contribution Network Transport
Offices Network
Event Network
Stadium Network
Other Legacy Networks (airports, training sites, hotels, etc.)
Actively participate in scope definition, procurement liaison, supplier selection and onboarding of Telco and Network suppliers.
Lead the management of network infrastructure build and implementation, ensuring timely availability of components and services, including commissioning and decommissioning of venues.
Oversee the effective and efficient provision of Network services for FIFA Offices, Tournaments and Events at select FIFA Events. Track progress of network implementation, report status, issues and risks related to Network projects and operations, according to IT governance and keep counterparts aligned.
Perform equipment configuration, tests, handover, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Manage Network Engineers.
Liaise and/or support Network projects in clarifying requirements, adhering to robust change management protocol. Ensure all information pertaining to the delivery and support of Event Network is communicated and well understood by all parties. Deliver technical guidance, coaching & mentoring to team members, including preparation of good practice and educational material for personnel.

Education & Qualifications
University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
Technology certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of delivery of wireless networks in complex and high-density areas.
Expertise in structured cabling (copper and fibre) in a heterogeneous model.
Strong IT skills and relevant knowledge in Telecom Infrastructure Service, including infrastructure design and implementation, network integration and connectivity.
Broad understanding of Telecom Infrastructure and Information Technologies in Sport Events and sufficient experience in design, commissioning and operation of systems: BCN, WAN/MAN/LAN, MPLS, VLAN, VoIP, CATV/IPTV, Multicast, Spectrum, Mobile Networks.
Work Experience
A minimum experience of 8-10 years in Network (routing/switching/security/wireless technologies).
Experience in the Sports / major event industry.
Proven track record of successful delivery of complex Network projects.
Languages
Fluent in English.
Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.
Technology
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
