Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Scope The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and supporting a team of maintenance technicians with skill levels ranging from entry-level to highly experienced. This role ensures all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies and operational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians to develop technical skills and improve overall team performance.
Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure maintenance objectives are met.
Preventative Maintenance
Ensure all preventative maintenance (PM) activities are completed thoroughly, accurately, and on schedule.
Review PM records and adjust schedules or procedures as needed to improve equipment reliability.
Safety & Compliance
Participate in chemical handling training and ongoing safety trainings.
Enforce all company, departmental, and site policies‑especially those related to safety.
Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safety‑first culture.
Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and repair down, malfunctioning, or under‑performing equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Support technicians in resolving complex mechanical, electrical, or operational issues.
Equipment Upgrades & Projects
Design, plan, and implement equipment upgrades in coordination with Facilities, the Maintenance Manager, and/or Engineering.
Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing processes.
Inventory & Procurement
Order, track, and maintain parts and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.
Manage inventory levels to support efficient repair and preventative maintenance operations.
General Expectations
Demonstrate strong decision‑making skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment updates.
Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, reliability, and safety.

Lead a team with varying levels of experience, from entry‑level to career experts.
Create well‑defined training plans with clear and measurable milestones and goals.
Balance long‑ and short‑term goals for a maintenance team.

Work safely around hazardous chemicals.
Pay strong attention to detail and read technical instructions, operation manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Have general computer skills and finish electronic work orders, enter data into systems, order parts, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (a computer test may be required).
Prioritize multiple work orders.
Stand throughout a shift, lift 50‑pounds, work within confined spaces, safely work on ladders, and perform work in crouched or overhead positions.
Work overtime in a salaried position, including weekends; regular schedule may include one or two weekend days.
Maintenance technicians will be supplied with the necessary tools and equipment.
Education and Experience Education
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance technician.
History of leadership within a maintenance department; formal position as a maintenance lead or supervisor preferred.
Advanced experience in at least one of carpentry, welding, machining, plumbing for chemical systems, HVAC, waste treatment, water treatment, or printed circuit boards; knowledge of various pump systems preferred.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies vary depending on a wide array of factors: skill sets, experience, training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $73,721 - $122,868.
Additional compensation: an annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
Export Statement Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. Responsibilities include identifying ITAR products on the manufacturing floor, ensuring access to these products and related technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents, recognizing foreign visitors by badge differentiation, following authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities, understanding export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US, and managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
