As an assistant hotel manager, you are responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the hotel. You are an excellent ambassador, enthusiastic, optimistic, and respectful. You guide, coach, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service, while maximizing revenue opportunities, controlling costs, and ensuring the safety of guests and employees.

Responsibilities Leadership

Lead, encourage, and inspire ambassadors to support operational procedures.

Ensure a sound understanding of citizenM brand values.

Coach and train ambassadors, provide feedback and monthly evaluations.

Demonstrate excellent problem‑analysis and decision‑making skills.

Create shift schedules, ensure adequate cover, and assign daily tasks.

Plan and organize personal work.

Maintain knowledge of applicable legislation including employment law, health and safety, food safety, alcohol licensing, first aid, and fire safety.

Guest Satisfaction

Welcome guests and assist them with checkout at kiosks.

Maintain a clean, comfortable hotel environment.

Know local attractions and provide recommendations.

Handle reservations and administrative matters.

Utilize hotel management system.

Manage daily SocietyM meeting rooms and functions when applicable.

Food & Beverage

Serve guests at canteenM with exceptional product knowledge.

Work with the point‑of‑sale system.

Drive F&B revenue targets and monthly results.

Revenue Enhancement

Seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience.

Coordinate with housekeeping and engineering to manage room inventory.

Report daily hotel revenue and handle cash responsibly.

Cost Control

Purchase food, beverage items, and operating equipment.

Manage stock to minimize waste.

Respect the property.

Qualifications

Fluent in English.

Strong multi‑tasking ability.

Minimum 2 years of managerial or coaching experience (hotel experience not required).

Team player with a passion for meeting new people.

Positive mindset and enthusiasm for the role.

Shift Pattern

Morning or evening shift on a rotating schedule; occasional night shifts.

Morning shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
