Tools & Automation Lead Engineer

What You Will Do
Lead a team of Tools Engineers to architect, design, develop and implement developer efficiency tools.
Manage SIL and HIL test environments using an automation framework, driving SW/HW integration.
Drive the design and implementation of scalable test execution workflows with automation hooks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Integrate third-party Test Management Systems & Requirements databases with Build systems such as Git & AWS.
Develop infrastructure for report generation, test dashboards, traceability matrices, and system metrics.
Develop product tools such as command line interfaces and associated scripting for engineering and serviceability interfacing.
Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable Python code, using the Qt framework (PyQt or PySide) to create cross-platform GUIs.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks across diverse OS versions and hardware configurations.
Participate in peer code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
Stay informed about new technologies and platform standards to propose improvements in development processes and product capabilities.
What You Will Bring
BS or MS in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of professional experience in software design & development of tools & infrastructure for QA, CI/CD, and embedded software/firmware.
Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building test frameworks and test integration tools.
Hands-on experience with the Qt framework (PyQt or PySide) for cross-platform applications.
Practical familiarity with macOS development and toolchain, including Xcode.
Proficiency with modern version control systems, preferably Git.
Familiarity with test automation tools for verification of vertically integrated products (embedded firmware, application software, mobile app, cloud backend).
Experience interfacing with hardware via I2C, SPI, USB, JTAG; familiarity with automotive protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, UDS) preferred.
Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware and software teams.
Salary The salary for this position ranges from $170,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
