Shift Nights (3 x 12‑hour shifts 7 p‑7 a). Must be able to orient D/N rotation.

Unit Overview The CVICU is a 24‑bed, high‑acuity unit located in Falls Church, VA, specializing in the care of patients post‑cardiac and vascular surgery, heart and lung transplant, advanced heart failure, and other complex diagnoses requiring intensive monitoring and life‑saving interventions. CVICU RN Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Certifications: BLS for healthcare provider certification from AHA required. ACLS (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years CVICU RN experience.
CCRN certification.
Proficient in Advanced Therapy Modalities (e.g., IABP, Impella, CRRT, TTM, ECMO).
Unit involvement: participation in unit‑based or hospital committees, Charge RN, Preceptor.
