Role Description This is a part‑time, on‑site role located in Chicago, IL, for an independent APN Nurse Practitioner at the Black Skin Institute. NPs are being sought who are interested in learning and then teaching the Black Skin Therapist Certification Course. The certification course is offered in conjunction with Dudley Beauty College. Responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, assessing and diagnosing skin conditions specific to Black skin, and developing personalized treatment plans. The Nurse Practitioner will perform advanced skin care procedures, assist in the administration of therapeutic treatments such as Scarless Mole Removal, and provide post‑treatment counseling. Collaborating with the team of licensed aestheticians, you will ensure a results‑driven and client‑focused approach to care.
Qualifications
A desire to learn advanced clinical skills in diagnosing and managing dermatological conditions, including hyperpigmentation, keloids, and adult acne.
Proficiency in performing dermatologic procedures and treatments, including safe and therapeutic care approaches will be taught.
Therapeutic skincare and an understanding of the unique needs of Black skin types will be taught.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for providing empathetic, client‑focused care and education.
A commitment to promoting Black skin health through innovative and personalized care plans.
