Warehouse Manager Overview
The
Warehouse Manager
is responsible for managing warehouse operations, inventory, and logistics for the assigned location. Must be able to manually move and lift 50 to 100 lb boxes of tile regularly and have flexibility to work nights and weekends within a team rotation. Responsibilities
Preparing packing and shipping documents. Picking and staging outbound shipments. Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and damage-free. Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Management of warehouse inventory, orders, and logistics for the location. Note: at many locations, 1 or 2 warehouse employees exist; management refers to operations, not employees, in many cases. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence (size, type, style, color, or product code). Complete all paperwork pertaining to inventory, including shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS. Ensure complete accuracy of store inventory at all times and label all orders and back stock clearly. Participate in the cycle counting program and load/unload customer vehicles with proper paperwork signed off by the customer after loading. Process incoming freight in a timely manner and use equipment (including forklifts) safely to move inventory; inspect equipment to maintain good working order. Record amounts of product received and distributed; enter records into computer; maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma Ability to read and write in English Strong work ethic Forklift certification or willingness to be certified Excellent organizational skills Basic mathematical and computer skills Knowledge of proper safety measures Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs Additional Information
