Role Overview The Head of Construction will manage the planning, coordination, and execution of large‑scale data center development projects across multiple regions. This leader will oversee day‑to‑day project delivery from pre‑development through commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to Colovore’s quality and safety standards. This role requires experience delivering mission‑critical facilities, strong cross‑functional coordination skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The Head of Construction will play a key role in supporting Colovore’s continued growth as a self‑developing data center owner/operator.
Construction Execution & Project Leadership
Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of data center projects, from site diligence through turnover to operations.
Manage contractor selection, bid evaluations, contract structures, and ongoing vendor performance.
Drive project schedules, monitor progress, and resolve blockers to maintain milestones.
Ensure adherence to budgets, specifications, commissioning requirements, and safety standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Real Estate, Design, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment across project phases.
Support pre‑construction planning including estimating, budgeting, scope alignment, and constructability reviews.
Facilitate smooth handoff to Data Center Operations upon project completion.
Provide direction, coaching, and development for project managers and site construction teams.
Cultivate strong relationships with GCs, EPCs, design partners, and key equipment suppliers.
Support negotiation and management of major vendor contracts to drive cost efficiency and reliability.
Financial & Risk Oversight
Support CapEx tracking, cost forecasting, and schedule reporting.
Identify and escalation risks related to schedule delays, supply chain constraints, cost escalations, and permitting.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and corporate policies.
Process Improvement & Innovation
Apply modular, prefabrication, and modern construction practices to reduce cost and time‑to‑market.
Recommend improvements to construction standards, workflows, and vendor performance management.
Support sustainability and ESG priorities including energy efficiency, low‑impact materials, and resource conservation.

Strong understanding of MEP systems, power distribution, cooling technologies, and commissioning.
Experience working with general contractors, EPC firms, and equipment suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Professional certifications (PMP, PE, LEED AP) beneficial but not required.
