Help Desk Engineer Company: 1Rivet

Location: Boston, MA (on-site, with limited hybrid flexibility)

Base pay range $65.00/yr - $73.00/yr

General Duties / Scope of Services

Provide timely, comprehensive technical support to end users

Availability: 8x5 (Mon-Fri) on-site; occasional ad hoc support as needed. Flexibility in contract days per month preferred (e.g., 5 to 4 days per week depending on support needs)

Local presence near Shell Boston office (individual or branch)

Experience with Windows OS, macOS, PC and Apple hardware (including iOS/Android mobile devices)

Experience with virtualized hardware (VMware) and server stacks

Experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure, AWS)

Support deployment, configuration, and documentation of network, server, and service resources

Develop and manage repeatable, documented, and preferably automated processes for provisioning and support of Windows and Mac hardware

Proactive maintenance of client and server infrastructure, including updates and patch management

Monitor security and backup systems; proactively remediate issues

Coordinate warranty and non-warranty service for desktops, servers, and IT infrastructure (Shell and non-Shell hardware)

Support and maintain security protocols and best practices

Maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT hardware and software

Support and maintain A/V and collaboration systems, including video conferencing setups

Coordinate with the global Shell IT organization as needed

Technical support for on-site and virtual meetings and presentations

Fulfill other duties as assigned
