The Role As a Staff SRE/DevOps Engineer, you will spearhead our strategic cloud rearchitecture initiative, modernizing architecture for maximum availability, performance, and scale. You will champion microservices, drive automation, design resilient multi‑region solutions, enforce operational excellence, and shape our DevOps roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Bridge Knowledge Gaps: Assess current DevOps and infrastructure, identify improvement areas, and coach teams on best practices.
Engineer Multi‑Region Solutions: Design and implement multi‑region traffic management, robust disaster recovery, and scalable databases.
Modernize Architecture: Support the transition to microservices, drive automation, and ensure systems can handle peak events without major rework.
Enforce Operational Excellence: Define best practices for CI/CD, observability, and incident response to improve engineering velocity.
Mentor & Influence: Provide guidance to engineers and development teams on cloud‑native development, GCP services, and multi‑cloud operations.
Drive Strategy & Innovation: Shape the DevOps roadmap and propose and implement advanced solutions such as serverless and hybrid data models.
Ensure Security & Compliance: Embed security best practices and align with industry standards.
Who You Are
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 8+ years in DevOps/cloud infrastructure/platform engineering, 3+ in a senior or staff-level role.
Cloud Platforms: Hands‑on experience with AWS and GCP, multi‑region architectures, and GCP‑managed services.
Containers & Orchestration: Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, cluster management, and scalability.
Automation & IaC: Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
Networking & Security: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, IAM, network security, and secret management.
System Design: Ability to architect and scale distributed systems with caching, database scaling, and high availability.
Coding & Scripting: Advanced Python, Bash, Go for automation, and algorithmic problem‑solving.
Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and distributed tracing.
Soft Skills: Leadership, mentorship, problem‑solving, communication.
Compensation Base pay range: $192,000.00/yr – $264,000.00/yr. Salary is based on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
