What to Expect
Tesla's Cell Infrastructure team is looking for a Commissioning Turnover Engineer to coordinate the transition of process and utilities systems completion from construction to commissioning, and eventually to Facilities Operations.
In this role you will support planning, coordinating, executing, tracking, and reporting all construction and commissioning activities for a specific area or project scope. The role will work with construction, quality assurance, commissioning, and facilities management to ensure the scope is systemized, and relevant documents completed to officially hand over operable systems, and that the equipment meets all code, specification, and project requirements. This role has a travel expectancy of 10%-20%
What You'll Do
Set up proper tools to control and track the progressive completion of construction and commissioning activities. This includes leading and managing systemization. (CXAlloy)
Guide and monitor the field activities in an orderly manner according to commissioning priorities. Steer coordination meetings to optimize system operation or lead teams to alternative solutions to mitigate the inconveniences or advance schedule
Coordinate handovers walk downs with stakeholders and disciplines involved, in accordance with systems completion priorities, to determine the required actions to be completed to achieve system completion
Ensure the gathering and management of completion punch lists, including issuing weekly reports of project/program status
Ensure associated commissioning documentation is complete and stored properly. Support the review and development of commissioning processes and procedures as needed and ensure asset is properly handed over to Facilities/Manufacturing
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or the equivalent in experience
1-3 years of experience in commissioning or operations with preference for Turnover or Systems Completions
Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Project). Experience with the following is a plus Primavera P6, CXAlloy, Hexagon, Go Completions
Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure
Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time

Expected Compensation $88,000 - $150,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
