Accounting Manager

We are a privately-owned company conducting a confidential search for an Accounting Manager. We are looking to add an on-site Accounting Manager to our team, who will report to the VP of Finance out of our Dallas, TX office.

Key Responsibilities

Verify accurate account reconciliations

Manage and maintain the General Ledger system

Oversee timely month-end and year-end close processes

Ensure accuracy and verify information on accounts payable

Ensure accounting compliance and accurate information is entered, and resolve any discrepancies

Support the VP of Finance and manage 2-3 direct reports

Ensure accuracy and attention to detail with various financial documents: P&L, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and more

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a similar field

5+ years of professional staff accounting experience

Understanding of GAAP standards and general ledger accounting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Leadership and people management skills

Prior experience with managing direct reports, training, developing, and hiring

Outstanding analytical, organizational, and time management skills

Experience with ensuring accuracy and compliance of account entries, handling discrepancies, reconciliations, financial documents, and more

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with various accounting and ERP systems
