Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position with night shifts and dual-state licensing required.
Responsibilities
Work in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool, covering units such as PICU, NICU, and CVPICU
Position is based in a hospital setting, with possible float to a nearby sister facility
Float assignments stay within critical care pediatric specialties only
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
13-week contract assignment
Provide comprehensive care for critically ill pediatric patients in various critical care environments
May occasionally float to a facility in Kansas, approximately 12 miles from the main campus
Flexible scheduling is preferred
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Facility is a nicotine‑free campus with required testing
Only American Heart Association certifications accepted; RQI certifications not accepted
Documentation of pending Kansas license required if not active at start
Requirements
Active RN license in Missouri or compact state and Kansas license required (Kansas license may be pending at start with proof of application)
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association are required
Pediatric critical care experience in PICU, NICU, or CVPICU required
Travel nursing experience required
Clean Nursys report is necessary
Must pass a medication/dosage test with 100% score within three attempts during first week
Two professional references from a supervisor within the last 12 months are required
Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
