Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg setting.
Perform clinical assessments, technical nursing procedures, and patient education.
Utilize evidence‑based practice standards to ensure quality, safety, and service excellence.
Operate within a patient‑family centered care model, demonstrating cultural competence.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care interventions.
Maintain professional accountability, leadership, and service responsibilities.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Nursing (or Bachelor’s degree).
Current RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012, 10/1/2017, 10/1/2023, or 7/1/2018 are not required to hold a BSN.
RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN within five years of hire.
Completion of a preceptor class within twelve months of demonstrating competency for independent practice.
Minimum Experience Less than 1 year
