Shop Technical Lead
– a hands‑on master fabricator and welder who will lead from the shop floor, elevate craftsmanship, and mentor a talented team. The role requires the ability to produce high‑end architectural and decorative products.
What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fabricators, welders, and CNC operators.
Set the tone for craftsmanship, pace, and pride on the shop floor.
Provide hands‑on coaching that sharpens skills and strengthens team performance.
Daily Shop Operations
Assign and manage daily tasks to keep production moving smoothly.
Track progress and adjust workloads to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Maintain an efficient, organized, and safe work environment.
Fabrication & Technical Mastery
Perform advanced MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on architectural and decorative projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
Complete in‑process and final quality checks to ensure every piece meets our standards.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols.
Model safe practices and ensure the team follows them consistently.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of welding/fabrication experience – architectural metalwork strongly preferred.
Proven mastery of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding and decorative/structural fabrication.
Ability to read complex drawings and translate them into precise, buildable work.
Experience leading or supervising a shop floor team.
A commitment to doing things safely, correctly, and with pride.
Preferred
Experience creating high‑end custom architectural pieces (stairs, gates, railings, art panels).
Working knowledge of CNC machinery and metalworking equipment.
A portfolio that showcases your craftsmanship and range.

Compensation & Schedule
Hourly: $40-$50+ (Depends on Experience)
Schedule: Four‑day work week (Monday‑Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
