Job Summary The Insurance Senior Product Manager is a player/coach responsible for managing profitable growth as we implement new products, pricing, and underwriting in current markets and expand into new markets across the Midwest, Northeast, Florida, and the Southeast.

This role requires a creative collaborator who can leverage deep insurance market knowledge to drive decisions, lead a team of 3‑4 insurance product managers, and build a best‑in‑class insurance product organization.

What You Will Do

Product Implementation

Customize actions for the complex eastern markets to ensure the successful implementation of new product, pricing, and underwriting actions for profitable growth.

Identify detailed market dynamics and implement actions with functional partners to drive profitable growth from those insights.

Develop strategic roadmap for product manager business levers along with detailed processes for the business levers.

Develop product managers within the eastern region to win in their markets and drive detailed outcomes for profitable growth.

Profitable Growth Management – Financial Oversight: Maintain loss ratio discipline and risk tolerance while achieving growth in assigned markets; ensure forecasts and business objectives account for current and likely market conditions.

Risk Management: Develop a risk management tools and strategy to drive growth in the large eastern Independent Agency market; ensure effective management of catastrophe risk and concentration risk; develop pricing components that adjust as new business changes concentration.

Competitive Intelligence: Analyze and understand key competitors and competitor strategies in your markets; share insights with organizational partners; build out additional competitive intelligence tools as needed.

Performance Monitoring: Regularly report on product performance and make data‑driven decisions to optimize results; recommend KPIs and metrics to improve product performance tracking.

Customer Focus: Ensure all products meet the needs and expectations of customers; incorporate customer feedback into product development and improvement.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, marketing, sales, IT, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and effective product initiatives; develop holistic solutions.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.

Process Design: Identify and develop cross‑functional processes that improve regional team dynamics while creating efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

12+ years of experience in product management, actuarial, finance or related roles within the insurance industry (minimum 5+ years in homeowners insurance).

8+ years of management experience.

Experience working with senior leadership and partnering on strategic initiatives.

Experience across multiple customer segments: Preferred, Standard, Non‑standard.

Proven track record of successful product launches and strategic initiatives.

Deep understanding of personal lines insurance and reinsurance, including trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.

Strong leadership and team‑management skills; ability to inspire and drive cross‑functional teams toward common goals.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities; proficiency in using data to drive strategic decisions.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex issues clearly to partners and stakeholders.

Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

What You Will Get Pay Range:

$157,500 – $220,500
