Base pay range Job Description And Duties
Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Software Engineer acts in a lead role to design, develop, and maintain software to support the mission of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
As a state employee, the incumbent is a public official, and is subject to requirements/expectations arising from law, regulation, and policy.
Working Conditions This position is located at: 1515 Clay St., Oakland, CA 94612. The incumbent works in a hybrid in‑office/telework environment. In‑office work is performed in an air‑conditioned high‑rise office building in downtown Oakland, within walking distance of public transportation.

Relational databases (SQL and PL/SQL)
English (spelling, grammar, usage)
Computer science terminology
Cybersecurity (cryptography, protocols)
