Scope and Responsibilities
Help develop and implement innovative H&S programs and strategies across areas such as Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), hazard communication, occupational health, safety management systems, process safety, risk management, and industrial hygiene.
Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions and implement effective solutions.
Support clients in improving safety performance through training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
Participate as an enthusiastic team member on project teams and ensure quality standards on deliverables.
Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by consistently exceeding expectations.
Travel as required within the San Francisco Bay Area and occasional travel outside the local area.
Use strong written and verbal communication to engage clients, ERM employees, and vendors.
Deliver solutions that address complex technical and regulatory issues for the world’s most innovative companies.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related science.
4+ years of relevant experience in technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, or oil and gas sectors.
Knowledge of California regulations and EHS regulations at all levels.
Experience managing direct reports and/or project staff, scoping and managing budgets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Good team player and strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicle.
Position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Engineering, or related field.
CSP, CIH, or similar certification/qualification.
Compensation & Benefits We anticipate the annual base pay of $100,474 – $127,553 USD. The final compensation is based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business needs. The position also has an annual discretionary performance bonus. ERM offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, paid parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and other applicable benefits.
