Construction Defect Attorney – Defense (Walnut Creek)
Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP is seeking an attorney with significant, hands‑on experience in construction defect litigation on the defense side to join our Walnut Creek office. This is a full‑time, in‑office position. We are not seeking applicants who want to work remotely; instead, we are looking for candidates who are eager to build a long‑term career at the firm and grow into partnership after demonstrating consistent performance, leadership, and contribution. Responsibilities
Manage all phases of construction litigation, with particular emphasis on leading depositions of plaintiffs and expert witnesses. Draft and respond to discovery and pleadings, prepare and argue motions, and independently manage case files. Provide second‑chair trial experience (a plus). Prioritize and handle multiple cases in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Qualifications
Significant experience managing construction litigation on the defense side. Strong research and writing skills. Ability to lead depositions and manage multiple concurrent cases. Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, and motions. We offer a salary range of
$150,000 - $180,000
per year, plus a
$20,000
annual bonus for those who meet the firm’s quarterly billable hour requirements.
